She Moves: Goldring Open House - A women-only takeover to discover movement, fitness and community!
Women-identifying U of T students, staff, faculty and Sport & Rec members are invited to drop in and explore our physical activity spaces on the upper levels of Goldring Centre in a women-only setting.
Explore and participate in the following activities in each space:
- Try out equipment and explore our spaces:
- The Strength Conditioning Centre (SCC) is a 4-tier physical activity space, spanning the second and third floor of Goldring Centre, with equipment such as squat racks, free weights, strength and cardio equipment, and a turf lane. The SCC will be open to explore and exercise.
- The Speed and Power Centre (SPC), located on the third floor of Goldring Centre, and/or on the top tier of the SCC, hosts some Olympic weightlifting equipment and platforms.
- Staff will be available in these spaces to help orient participants, help to use weights and equipment, answer questions, etc.
- Experience group fitness classes: Taking place in the Fitness Studio and Speed & Power Centre, try out classes like barre, cardio dance party, IMPACT Training and Olympic Weightlifting. Drop-in schedule posted below.
- Ask a coach: Coaches will be available throughout the SCC to answer all your fitness questions. Whether you would like to learn more about weights, get some workout tips, learn how to do a specific exercise or use a piece of equipment, our coaches are here to help!
